Chicken-Man sighted in Fayetteville

The Chicken-Man made a rare appearance to Fayette County last weekend to help raise money for the upcoming 2008 Relay For Life of Fayette County. The Chicken Man, retired Delta Air Lines scheduler Mike Culver, used his unusual wit, comedic lip-sinking and facial contortions to entertain patrons at the American Cancer Society fund-raiser.

The Chicken-Man and guests were hosted by Lindsey Howard, the owner of Long Branch Steak House in Fayetteville. The successful fund-raiser was organized by Vicky Utting, owner of Mellow Mushroom restaurant in Peachtree City.

The silent auction, 50-50 raffle and admission to the hilarity helped raise $2,030, which brings the Mellow Mushroom total to $6,782 for the 2008 Relay For Life.

The 2008 Relay For Life of Fayette County will be held Friday, May 2 at the Kiwanis Fairgrounds.
