Jamie Upchurch was recently honored at both the December Women’s Council of Realtors meeting and the quarterly Metro South Association of Realtors meeting when she was presented the 2005 Barbara Segner Award.
The Barbara Segner Award, one of the most prestigious awards that the Women's Council of Realtors has the privilege of bestowing each year, is named after the late real estate industry icon Barbara Segner, who was instrumental in pioneering WCR in the Southern Crescent. This award recognizes the integrity, ambition, achievements, and contributions of a select individual in the real estate community.
Jamie is a GARPAC Sterling R supporter, an active member of the Henry County Council for Quality Growth, contributes regularly to the Haven House, local police departments, and youth charity organizations.
During the presentation of the award, WCR president Tricia Capps related a poignant story detailing the extraordinary lengths Jamie went to in order to assist a deserving family in purchasing a home.
