Clark Bowcock is the new manager of Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty’s Jackson/Butts County office. He succeeds Loy Hutcheson, who is remaining with the office as an associate broker.
Bowcock, who is originally from Forsyth, has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and public relations from Georgia Southern University. Following college, he spent two years at the State Capitol as a lobbyist for the Georgia Mining Association, then worked for more than 10 years in international logistics.
He entered the real estate industry with Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty just over a year ago and has completed the Coldwell Banker FastStart and the Floyd Wickman StarMakers programs. He is a member of Coldwell Banker Bullard’s Relocation Team and REO Team.
Now a Butts County resident, he lives on Jackson Lake with his wife Jennifer and two daughters, Alexis, who is nearing her third birthday, and Lyndsey, who is one and one-half years old. His wife works in Atlanta as director of public relations for Cingular.
Bowcock praised the work of his predecessor, emphasizing that “Loy Hutcheson will continue to serve the needs of his real estate clients, and he will remain as a strong supporter of his community and his church.”
Hutcheson has been in real estate since 1989 after serving 23 years in education in Butts County as a football coach, teacher and two-term county school superintendent. He was the first manager of the Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty office in Jackson when it opened in late 1994. In his first full year with Bullard, he was the No. 2 producer companywide, and he was the company’s No. 3 producer in 1997. He also headed the Jackson office in sales from 1995 through 1999. Hutcheson was also a home builder in Butts County for many years, building 114 homes under the name Hutcheson Building Co.
He and his wife Jackie are Jackson residents, and they have two grown children and four grandchildren.
Hutcheson said that of the seven Bullard office, the Jackson office has the highest production per agent, and that six of the office’s agents are million dollar producers.
In stepping down from the manager’s post, Hutcheson said he wants to devote more time to real estate sales, to his family, and to his community and church activities. “Since Bullard opened the office here, I been the manager for six of those years. Now I want the time to do some things I haven’t been able to do.”
Speaking of his successor, Hutcheston said, “I have observed Clark’s rapid growth in his grasp of the real estate business, and I am very confident that he is very capable of taking the Jackson office on to the next level. He is energetic, vivacious, aggressive, likable, and someone every agent will enjoy working with. Clark also has expert technology skills which have become a vital part of the real estate industry.”
