James Everett Hancock

James Everett Hancock, 84, Senoia, died March 18, 2008. He was born in Meriwether County and was the former owner of Dell's Drive In Fayetteville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Hancock, and parents, Emmitt Warren and Mary Jane Spraggins Hancock, and a brother, Emmitt Warren Hancock Jr. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Deacon Joe Anzalone and the Rev. Phil Bevel officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include a son, Mike Hancock, Senoia; daughters, Carol and David Cavender, and Joyce and Wayne Banks, all of Senoia; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank and Cordie Hancock, Griffin, Alvin and Linda Hancock, and Tom and Joan Hancock, all of Jonesboro; Billy Ray and Nancy Hancock, Hampton; sisters, Cecile Thomas, Sue and Barney Walker, Judy and Bill Tolley, and Bobbie and Rodney Owen, all of Fayetteville, and Marie and Lee Roy Smith, Rex. Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
