The runway at Falcon Field has been re-opened now that repaving work is complete.

There will be a brief closure Tuesday from 6 to 10 a.m. so the connecting taxiways can be hydroseeded, airport officials said.

The runway was re-opened four days ahead of schedule according to assistant aviation director Barry Griffith.

In a month or more there will be another brief runway closure scheduled to restripe the runway. Meanwhile, construction continues on resurfacing on other areas of the airfield including the transient ramp, officials said. Repairs have also been made to the south gate to the facility.
