The Peachtree City Parks and Recreation Department will offer two dance classes starting today through Feb. 18.: The East Coast Swing and the West Coast Swing. The East Coast Swing will be taught from 7 to 8 pm. As a bonus, the student can stay another hour, free of charge, from 8 pm until 9 pm and learn the West Coast Swing. This class will be the first one taught at the Gathering Place with the new version and would be a brand new dance for former students to attend to increase their dancing skills and to review the East Coast Swing. From 9 pm to 10 pm, the advanced class will learn more of the West Coast Swing. Both dances will fit 80 percent of the top 40 music of today and yesteryear. No dance experience is needed and everything is taught from the ground-up with plenty of practice time to enjoy what you have learned.
