The Fayette-Starr’s Mill Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is sponsoring a genealogy workshop at the newly remodeled Peachtree City Library today. The workshop will consist of two lectures presented by Fayette County genealogist Susan Sloan. The first talk, “Just the Facts,” will begin at 10am and will focus on documenting sources of information in genealogy. The second lecture, “War is Help...for Genealogists,” will begin at 11:15am and will be an overview of genealogically useful military records available through the National Archives and Records Administration. The session is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Chapter Registrar Carol Abadie at abadiec@bellsouth.net or 770-632-9553.
