NEWNAN,GA. -- Major League Baseball and the Major League Players Association, in conjunction with licensees Topps and Upper Deck, will celebrate the second annual National Baseball Card Day on Saturday, March 29. On this day, exclusive baseball card packs will be given away to kids, collectors and fans nationally. HEROES CARDS, COMICS AND GAMES on 211-A BULLSBORO DR NEWNAN GA will be hosting an event where special packs will be distributed to fans and collectors.
National Baseball Card Day is part of a comprehensive effort to promote the baseball card category to kids and new collectors. "We are thrilled to once again partner with MLBPA, Topps and Upper Deck to give hundreds of thousands of people the chance to own an exclusive set of baseball cards and engage in one of the most time-honored traditions of the game,” said Howard Smith, Senior Vice President, Licensing, Major League Baseball Properties. "We’re also proud to have the support of Toys “R” US retailers nationwide, as well as local hobby shops backing this ever growing program.”
These sets of cards, developed specifically for National Baseball Card Day, will feature some of today’s brightest superstars including Alex Rodriguez, David Ortiz, Derek Jeter, Ken Griffey Jr., Albert Pujols and David Wright, as well as a mix of other current standouts and rising stars.
