J.W. "Bill" Stonebraker, 80, Union City, died March 13, 2008. He was born April 15, 1927 in Webster City, Iowa, son of the late Jesse and Besse Yokely Stonebraker. He received a B.A. degree from Presbyterian College and a B.D., ThM. and D.Min degrees from Columbia Seminary. He was ordained by Southwest Georgia Presbytery in 1950 and served churches in Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida until his retirement in 1991. He was also an accomplished classical pianist and enjoyed playing duets with his wife. He also enjoyed flying airplanes, riding motorcycles, golf, swimming, reading, building model planes and ships, hiking, home maintenance, and volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. Memorial services were held at the Fayette Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Berkeley Stevenson Stonebraker; children, Bill and Bonnie Stonebraker Jr., Cut Bank, Montana, Jim and Diane Stonebraker, Anchorage, Alaska, Dorothy and Ronnie Edwards, Lawrenceville, Mary and Steve Page, Bristol, Tenn., and John and Dede Stonebraker, Fayetteville; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
