Norma Lee Clifton, 74, Fayette County, died March 7, 2008. She was a member of Fayette Presbyterian Church where she was the first woman elder, and was also a member of the Presbytery. She was a graduate of Georgia State University Suma Cum Laude. Memorial services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Cliff Haddox officiating. Survivors include sons, Jon and Bobbie Clifton, Orlando, Fla., Jeff and Laura Shamrock Clifton, and Greg and Frances Clifton, all of Fayetteville; a daughter, Connie and Burch Peacock, Newnan; a ward, Jeannie Cooper, Panama City Beach, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sisters, Dorothy Bruce and Ruth Hester, both of Salem, Ill. Memorial donations may be given to The Fayette County Education Foundation or Harbor Grace Hospice. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
