Gennie Brooks Carroll, Tyrone, died March 5, 2008. She was a retired piano teacher. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Scott Pickering officiating. Survivors include sons, Perry Carroll, Lawrenceville, and Tim and Regina Carroll, Tyrone; a daughter, Cindy and Joel Hurst, Memphis, Tenn.; a daughter-in-law, Paula Carroll; a brother, Albert Brooks, Memphis, Tenn.; grandchildren, Samuel Hurst, Craig Carroll, Jordan Carroll, Seth Carroll, Sally Carroll, and Camille Carroll; and great-grandchildren, Katlyn Hurst and Naomi Hurst. Memorial donations can be made to Hopewell United Methodist Church, 351 Jenkins Road, Tyrone, GA 30290. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
