For the fourth year in a row, students at Sara Harp Minter Elementary School in Fayetteville, in conjunction with the Martha Stewart Bulloch Chapter DAR are making a big effort to pay tribute and express appreciation to hospitalized veterans. Chick-fil-A’s Operation Big Heart helped the school’s effort by collecting valentines from other Fayette, Coweta and south Fulton schools. The combined effort resulted in over 5,000 Valentine’s Day items for the veterans. Joan Green, a member of the Martha Stewart Bulloch Chapter, National Daughters of the American Revolution, delivered the patriotic items, on behalf of the schools, to the Atlanta VA Medical Center in Decatur, Ga.
