The McIntosh boys lacrosse team caught a breath in their difficult early schedule cruising by the first year program East Coweta high school team 15 – 0 Monday night. McIntosh scored in the first minute of play and never looked back, leading 11-0 at the half.

East Coweta is one of four new varsity programs in Southern Crescent of Atlanta, again reinforcing the tremendous growth of this exciting sport.

Nine different players scored, the defense played well when tested, and all three goalies worked to maintain the shutout. The Chiefs had an opportunity to give all the players on the roster significant time beginning in the second quarter and the bench responded by continuing the up-tempo ball movement offense that has become synonymous with McIntosh lacrosse.

The Chiefs, now ranked fourth in the state, will continue their tough schedule with another nationally ranked program, The McCallie School from Chattanooga at 4 p.m. this Friday at McIntosh Stadium. McCallie has won two Tennessee state championships in the last four years and may prove to be the toughest test of the season for the Chiefs. The Players and boosters encourage their growing fan base to come out and enjoy what should prove to be a great game.

Tickets will be available at the gate.
