Beall captures his first state title for local aquatic team

Peachtree City’s Southern Crescent Aquatic Team had 19 swimmers compete at the Georgia Age-Group State Championships in Savannah February 29-March 2.

Swimmers that scored individual points for the team were Jack Beall (1st 50 Freestyle, 4th 100 Butterfly, 11th 100 Backstroke, 6th 100 Freestyle), Missy Beall (14th 50 Freestyle), Tyler Burrell (6th 50 Butterfly, 10th 50 Backstroke), Sarah Salinski (13th 50 & 100 Breaststroke), Alexandra Schmid (8th 100 Butterfly, 14th 500 Freestyle), Robbie Scott (4th 200 Backstroke, 8th 100 Backstroke, 11th 50 Backstroke, 14th 500 Freestyle), and Khloe Slaughter (16th 50 Freestyle).

Jack Beall scored the most individual points for the team and earned his first State Championship Title in the 50 Freestyle.

Relays that scored points were the 10 & Under Girls 200 Freestyle and 200 Medley (Tyler Burrell, Khloe Slaughter, Johanna Goldblatt, Alexandra Schmid), 14 & Under Girls 200 Freestyle and 200 Medley (Missy Beall, Haley Smith, Sydney Cartwright, Sarah Martin), and the 14 & Under Boys 200 Freestyle, 400 Freestyle, 200 Medley, and 400 Medley (Jack Beall, Chris Moroz, Mark Buck, Robbie Scott).

The Southern Crescent Aquatic Team’s assistant coach, Ryan Mallam, was named Assistant Coach of the Georgia Zone Team for the Zone Championships held July 29-August 2 at the Georgia Tech Olympic Pool.

The Southern Crescent Aquatic Team’s seasonal program will be running its Spring session, previously known as Spring Tune-up, beginning April 14th and ending May 22nd.
This program is for recreational swimmers that want to get back in the water before the summer begins.
