Lenten lunches continue at FFUMC
Fayetteville First United Methodist Church continues its Lenten Lunches on the last two Thursdays in Lent, March 13 and 20. Lunches are held at noon in the fellowship hall and cost $2. The March 13 lunch is sponsored by the Ethel Taylor Circle and the March 20 lunch is sponsored by the Bethany and Trinity Circles. FFUMC is in downtown Fayetteville.

PTC Presbyterian plans Strength Training event
First Presbyterian Church will offer information about strength training Friday, March 14 at 7 p.m. Certified nutritionist and dance instructor Patricia Woody will provide nutritional information. Karate expert Kevin Brown and Dr. Matt Davis will demonstrate strength training exercises. For more information, contact the church, 206 Willowbend Rd., Peachtree City, 770-487-7757.

Flat Rock’s Men’s Day is this Sunday
Flat Rock African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church will hold its annual Men’s Day celebration Sunday, March 16, at 2:30 p.m. Flat Rock (http://www.flatrockame.org) is at 148 Old Chapel Lane, just off Ga. Hwy 54.

Tempered Steel men’s group meets Thursdays
“Tempered Steel,” a weekly study open to all Christian men in the greater Fayette area, will meet each Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at The Branches Community Church in Fayetteville (www.thebranchescc.org) at 282 Ga. Hwy. 314, Suite B. The study is led by Minister Adrian Lovingood who can be reached at slovingood@comcast.net.

Community Easter service planned March 18
Landmark Christian School will host a non-denominational celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus at New Hope Baptist Church, 551 New Hope Rd., in Fayetteville, Tuesday, March 18 at 7 p.m. Nine area pastors will speak on the Last SevenWords of Christ. The service will feature music by Landmark Christian School students under the direction of fine arts department head Don Johnson, with congregational worship led by the Landmark Praise Band.
