Episcopal Church of the Nativity’s Youth Group departed Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, Feb. 16 and 17, to work on rebuilding the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina in the Bay St. Louis, Miss. area. The group returned Friday, Feb. 22 after spending winter break working at Mission on the Bay, located on the grounds of Christ Episcopal Church, Bay St. Louis, Miss. Several adults including Nativity’s own priest, Mother Rita Henault, accompanied the group. Shown above, left to right, are Mark Henault, Anna Tucker, Donna Pasto, Julian Pasto, the Rev. Rita Henault, Jessica Scarborough, Elvis Scarborough, Kimisha Scarborough, Heidi Bergs, Cathy Stikes, and Katie Lusk. A total of 52 people at the camp worked to help rebuild homes and lives of those affected by Hurricane Katrina which hit the Gulf Coast in 2005. Photo/Special. login to post comments |
