Starrs Mill’s Mary Chaudoin’s high school volleyball career concluded this past November by again being chosen to the Georgia All-State first team and being selected to play in the state “Senior All Star” game. The awards continued at the All-Star match when she announced as the State 4AAA Player of the Year.

However, the awards have continued for Chaudoin.
In early January, Chaudoin was recognized by national publication Prepvolleyball.com as one of 50 national finalists for the 2007 Andi Collins Award recognizing the nation’s top setters. Two weeks later, from the same publication, Chaudoin was one of only 150 players nationally to be named a 2007 National All-American. This was a great follow up to her junior year when she received All American Honarable Mention recognition.

In the fall, Chaudoin will be heading to Indiana University and the Big Ten Conference to play for the “Hoosiers” where she’s been awarded a full scholarship. Her plans are to enter the Kelley Business School where she will major in International Business.

Over the past three years, Chaudoin has played under the direction of Starrs Mill coach Dottie Liccardi. She has been a member of the A5 Mizuno Volleyball Club of Atlanta for the past four years where she currently plays for 18 Bob.
