Carolyn M. Stanley, 72, Fayetteville, died Feb. 15, 2008. She worked as a Deputy Clerk for the Fulton County Superior Court and retired from the DeKalb County school system in 2000. She was a volunteer for Piedmont Fayette Hospital for six years. Memorial services were at the First Christian Church, Decatur.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, John Lee Stanley; children, Richard Lee Rainwater, Judy Lyn Worley, and Christy S. Tempo; a stepdaughter, Kimberly M. Stanley; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society, 135 Bradford Square, Ste. B, Fayetteville, GA 3215 or the First Christian Church Endowment Fund, 601 West Ponce de Leon Ave., Decatur, GA 30030. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
