It was a long bus ride to and from the game at Thomas County Central, but spirits were high as the Fayette County Tigers advanced to the Elite Eight in Class AAAA with a 69-65 win.

Noel Johnson led the Tigers in scoring with 28 points and five rebounds, while Addison Flynn chipped in 12 points and Brandon Boykin added 10 points, nine rebounds and eight assists.

The Tigers are now scheduled to face Jonesboro at Fort Valley State at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
