James "Nelson" Cook, 85, Fayetteville, died Feb. 19, 2008. He was born Aug. 5, 1922 in Fulton County, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents, James H. and Ina Lee Cook, and a brother, Hulan R. Cook. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Navy. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Dennis Watson and the Rev. Ken Helms officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Moss Cook, Fayetteville; daughters, Cheryl C. and Gene Mullinax, Senoia, and Jan C. and Rob Slaughter, Lilburn; grandchildren, Heather B. and Dennis Hughes, and Brigham N. Slaughter, all of Suwanee; great-grandson, Jonah O. Hughes, Suwanee; and a brother, Hubert L. and Betty Cook, Fayetteville. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge. login to post comments |
