Janie "Big Suh" Taylor-Stegall, 77, Newnan, died Feb. 15, 2008. She was born May 17, 1930, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alton Taylor Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Stegall Sr.. who whom she was married for 44 years, and a sister, Carolyn Taylor Robinson. She was a devoted member of The Zion Hill Baptist Church, where she sang in the Combined Choir until her health failed. She had worked at Little People's Learning Center for a number of years. Services were at Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. W. J. Johnson officiating. Interment was at Eastview Cemetery. Survivors include sons, the Rev. James Stegall, Lewis and Rosa Stegall, Harrell and Connie Taylor, and Eddie Stegall Jr.; brothers, Alton Taylor Jr., Charlie Taylor, and Carlton and Miriam Taylor Sr.; a sister, Frances and Pete Smith; seven grandsons; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Willie Fred Stegall; sisters-in-law, Anna Stegall, Opal Stegall, and Iona Taylor; a special niece, Altomeise Whitaker; and special friends, Pastor Brenda Clark, Evangelist Mella Grimsley , Patricia Morrow, and Jimmy Howard of Willingboro, N. J. Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge. login to post comments |
