Flat Creek sponsors fall trip to New EnglandTue, 02/19/2008 - 3:53pm

The B-Acts group (seniors age 50 and older) from Flat Creek Baptist Church is offering an eight-day trip to New England this fall with stops in various towns in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Virginia. Home base for the trip will be the Mariner Motor Lodge in West Yarmouth, Mass., with overnight stays on the way up and back at the Best Western of Fredericksburg, Va. Beginning Feb. 15, the trip will be open to non-members of Flat Creek who are 50 years old or older. The group will leave Fayetteville Saturday, Sept. 27, and will return Saturday, Oct. 4. Among the tours will be a visit to the Civil war battlefield at Fredericksburg, Martha’s Vineyard, Hyannis and the Kennedy Memorial, Lady Astor’s Beechwood Mansion, Plymouth Plantation, Mystic Seaport and Mariner’s Museum, a whale-watching cruise, and many more attractions. The total cost is $1,000 with a $500 deposit due by Feb. 24 for those who have not made any deposit to date. Lodging, meals and all activities for eight days are included in the price. Additional payments of $250 are due by May 18 and Aug. 14, for a total of $1,000. No refunds will be given after Aug. 17.
