The community is invited to a non-denominational celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus sponsored by Landmark Christian School, at New Hope Baptist Church, 551 New Hope Rd., in Fayetteville, Tuesday, March 18.

Nine area pastors, all parents of Landmark students, will speak on the Last SevenWords of Christ.

The hour-long service, which starts at 7 p.m., will feature music by Landmark Christian School students under the direction of fine arts department head Don Johnson, with congregational worship led by the Landmark Praise Band.

Participating families will receive an information sheet of ways to make Easter more meaningful, and children will receive a special Easter favor, while supplies last.

“The board and administration of Landmark Christian School wants to encourage unity in the body of Christ through worship,” a spokesperson said. “They plan to make this collaborative effort an annual Easter tradition for families in the area.”

More than 27 pastors, missionaries, and ministry leaders have children and grandchildren attending Landmark. After the school held meetings to introduce those parents who were involved in ministry, leaders came up with the idea for a community wide service. They realized that the school had never come together to worship as the body of Christ outside of school events, and decided to plan a worship service.

Landmark Christian School is a non-denominational college preparatory private Christian school serving grades pre-K-12, with campuses in Fairburn and Peachtree City. LCS has approximately 774 students representing over 200 churches in eight counties.
