Tyrone BP and Shell break-insMon, 02/18/2008 - 10:04am

Burglars hit two Tyrone businesses last weekend but made off with only an undetermined amount of cigarettes at one of the break-ins. Both burglaries occurred in the early morning hours Feb. 10, according to Tyrone Police spokesperson Alicia Batts. The first break-in came at 1:30 a.m. at the Shell station on Senoia Road. Officers responded to the alarm call, finding the glass broken in the store’s front doors, Batts said. Officers determined that no entry was made at that location, she said. The next burglary occurred at the BP station at Palmetto Road and Ga. Highway 74 at 1:42 a.m., where officers responding to an alarm call found a forced entry through the store’s front door, said Batts. A check of the store by the manager revealed that an undetermined number of cigarettes had apparently been stolen, she said. login to post comments |
