Peachtree City Parks and Recreation Department employees recently presented a donation to Promise Place in memory of longtime PTC employee Jane Miller who recently passed away. The check was presented by recreation employee Joyce Williams, R, to Christine Jordan, vice president of the Promise Place board of directors. Promise Place is a nonprofit organization that is a safe haven for women and children who are victims of domestic abuse. In addition to providing shelter, they also provide food, clothing, transportation, legal advocacy and serve as an educational resource to Fayette County school students through their Teen Dating Violence program.
