Youth appreciation banquetMon, 02/18/2008 - 9:39am

The Peachtree City Optimist Club held its annual Youth Appreciation Banquet on Monday, Feb. 11 at Flat Creek Country Club. Each year students from the Fayette County area are selected by their school counselors or agency representatives to be honored for their outstanding contributions to their school and community. Students must meet the criteria set forth by the Optimist Club, which encourages, leadership skills, academics, volunteerism, participation in school organizations and community improvement projects. Club members joined with the students, their family members and their nominators to celebrate the accomplishments of these outstanding students. The Peachtree City Optimist Club meets every Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the Three Dollar Café. Guest are always welcome.
