Fayette County did not look their best in the first half and the Creekside Seminoles led at the end of the first (17-13) and second quarters (33-28). Creekside still had the lead at the end of the third quarter, but Fayette had come alive, stealing the lead at several points and scoring 18 points.

Perhaps the most significant turn of events in the second half was the reemergence of Brandon Boykin and Noel Johnson who were held to a combined seven points in the first half.

In the fourth quarter, Fayette built a lead and never let it go. Their defense was stout, limiting the Seminoles to only four points in the first six minutes of the final quarter.

Fayette County finished with a 67-53 win. Their leading scorer was Brandon Boykin with 18 points, while Addison Flynn added 17, Noel Johnson chipped in 15 and Cuincy Carruthers scored 13 points.

The Tigers will play in the region 2-AAAA final at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, on their home court, and will also host a state playoff game next week.

Both the Lady Tigers and Tigers opponents will be know later this evening.
