Kyle Bond was recently promoted to the rank of Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Bond, a native of Tyrone, is stationed at Camp Pendelton in California and is a two-tour veteran of the war in Iraq. His mother, Edwina Cowgill, resides in Newnan with her husband David. Bond's sister, Kim Bond, lives in Senoia.
