Shirley Ann Taylor Jackson, 84, Union City, died Feb. 9, 2008. She was born April 13, 1923 in Coweta County to the late Matthew Lorenzo and Annie Tolbert Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Radford E. Jackson, in June, 2002. She was a member of Newnan First Baptist Church where she served in many leadership roles throughout her life.

Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jerry Walker officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Survivors include children, Annette Jackson Baxter, Conyers, Susan Jackson Brantley, Douglasville, and Barry Jackson, Newnan; a brother, Gilbert B. Taylor, Newnan; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be given to Newnan First Baptist Church, 15 West Washington St., Newnan, GA 30263.

McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
