The Legacy Theatre has announced youth company auditions for "The Wizard of Oz."

Auditions will be held on Saturday, March 15 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the theater, 1175 Senoia Road, Tyrone, Ga. This audition is for ages 5-17 only and will be for the youth company of our professional production and summer camps. All those auditioning will be asked to sing either one chorus or 16 bars from a song of their choice a cappella and learn choreography. There will be a sign-up sheet the day of auditions. Everyone will audition on a first come first serve basis.

Those auditioning may be cast as part of the pre-show, as Munchkins, as ensemble members or in minor roles. Please be aware that all youth company members will be required to participate in The Legacy’s “Wizard of Oz” summer camp for which there is a fee. The Legacy Theatre has also announced principle/ensemble auditions for the show. Auditions will be held at The Legacy Theatre on March 16 from 2-4 p.m. This audition is for those 18 and older only. No appointment is necessary as a sign-up sheet will be available upon arrival. All principle roles are being sought in addition to ensemble roles to play Osians, Winkies, Jitterbugs, etc.

Those auditioning should prepare 16 bars from classical music theatre and a one minute comedic monologue. You may be asked to read from script or asked to stay for the dance call beginning at 4 p.m. Please bring appropriate attire. Paid positions and apprenticeships are available.
