Alex Steven Baxter, six months old, died Feb. 6, 2008 after a courageous battle with Congenital Myotonic Dystrophy. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Jerry Cross officiating. Interment was at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Jonesboro. Survivors include his parents, Brian and Tanya Baxter; a brother, Lance Baxter; sisters, Kirsten Baxter, and Bella Baxter; grandparents, Gina Heaton, Ruth Baxter, Betty Latham, Peggy Coker, Jimmie Ann Castillo, and Gerrell Bruce; and 10 aunts and uncles. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
