Charles Cannon, 73, Jackson, Ga., died Feb. 4, 2008. He was born Dec. 31, 1934 in Clayton County. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Greg Cannon officiating. Interment was at Sherwood Memorial Park, Jonesboro. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Edith Cannon, Jackson; sons, Ted and Carl Cannon, Newnan, and Ernest and Teresa Cannon Jr., Fayetteville; a daughter, Shirley and Eddie Barton, Haralson; brothers, Grady Cannon, Thomason, W. C. and Betty Jean Cannon, Hampton, Robert and Grace Cannon, Newnan, and Carlos and Janice Middlebrooks, Covington; sisters, Katherine Feltman, Jonesboro, Margie and Dewy Vickery, Griffin, Martha Dorsey, Sunny Side, and Carolyn and Sammy Middlebrooks, Eastman; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
