To the wonderful citizens of Fayette County: Once again I am writing to thank all of you for your never-ending generosity.

Even though times have been difficult for some of you, you have found it in your hearts to continue to support the brave littlest soldiers at Ft. Benning. You once again made it possible for so many deserving families to have a merry Christmas in spite of the war.

I know I have said this before, but what you do for these children helps the brave men and women fighting for our freedom by assuring them that their loved ones at home are not forgotten.

While I received many donations this year, I do feel I should mention several organizations and businesses that were particularly generous. A special thank you to Noah’s Ark of Locust Grove, BCD Travel, the Republican Women’s and Men’s Clubs of Fayette County and the McIntosh Beta Club.

While I may not be mentioning the rest of you by name, please know that I keep all of you in my heart and in my prayers. I wish I could share with you the smiles of the children, and the relief on the faces of the waiting spouses we serve. What we are doing is important work and each and every one of you should feel immense pride. Together, we are making a difference.

We look forward to a day when we are no longer needed. In the meantime, there is more work to be done and we appreciate your continued support. Thank you again. You have no idea how much your generosity means to me and to the children we serve.
