Flat Creek group sponsors Sept. trip to New EnglandTue, 02/12/2008 - 3:34pm

The B-Acts group (seniors age 50 and older) from Flat Creek Baptist Church is offering an eight-day trip to New England this fall with stops in various towns in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Virginia. Beginning Feb. 15, the trip will be open to non-members of Flat Creek who are 50 years old or older. The group will leave Fayetteville Sept. 27, and will return Oct. 4. Among the tours will be a visit to the Civil war battlefield at Fredericksburg, Martha’s Vineyard, Hyannis and the Kennedy Memorial, Lady Astor’s Beechwood Mansion, Plymouth Plantation, Mystic Seaport and Mariner’s Museum, a whale-watching cruise, and many more attractions. The total cost is $1,000 with a $500 deposit due by Feb. 24 for those who have not made any deposit to date. Lodging, meals and all activities for eight days are included in the price.
