Szczepaniec-Potts

Lindsay Marie Szczepaniec and Martin Terrell Potts were married Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at Wolf Mountain Vineyards & Winery in Dahlonega. Dr. Jim Donovan performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur J. Szczepaniec of Peachtree City, and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harley R. Beck of Williamsburg, Va., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ignatius Szczepaniec of Buffalo, N.Y. She is a 2000 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School and a 2005 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia where she received a bachelor of science in nursing. She currently is working as a labor and delivery nurse at Southern Regional Medical Center.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. John M. Potts Jr. of Peachtree City, and grandson of John M. Potts Sr. and the late Mrs. Celestine Potts of Florence, Ala., and Mrs. Frances W. Suddath and the late W.E. Suddath Jr. of Jackson, Miss. He is a 1998 graduate of Landmark Christian School. He is employed with the Fayette County Fire Department as a firefighter/EMT and currently attends paramedic school.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and was attended by her sister, Kara N. Szczepaniec, who served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Randi L. Ellison, Joella M. Potts, Ashley L. Szczepaniec, and Jordan H. Turner.

The groom’s best man was his father, Dr. John M. Potts Jr. Groomsmen were Michael R. Groover, Ryan C. O’lenick, Carter W. Potts, Christopher A. Potts, John M. Potts III, Matthew J. Szczepaniec, and Harvell J. Walker III. John M. Potts IV served as ring bearer.

The bride wore an ivory allover beaded lace sheath gown with a strapless neckline and chapel train. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies, hydrangeas and roses.

Mr. and Mrs. Potts honeymooned on a Southern Caribbean cruise and now reside in Senoia.
