Mary Lou Vogt, volunteer coordinator for Newnan-Coweta Habitat for Humanity is painting hammers for tonight’s first Hammie Awards. The awards will honor the group’s outstanding 2007 volunteers. Gold, silver, bronze, copper, sapphire, emerald and pearl painted hammers will be bestowed to volunteers as a symbol of gratitude for all the hard work they have done for Habitat.
