Louise W. Smith, 72, Newnan, died Jan. 15, 2008. She was born April 19, 1935 in Sharpsburg to the late Henry and Mattie Reid Williams Sr. She was also preceded in death by brothers Henry Williams Jr., Grady Williams, and Walter Williams Lynch, and a sister, Katie Maude White. She will always be remembered s a loving mother and sister and her kind spirit will remain with those who loved her.

Services were at Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. W. J. Johnson, and the Rev. Tim Colton officiating. Interment was at Ebenezer Baptist Church cemetery. Survivors include children, Johnnie Mae and Lamar Barber, and John C. Williams; grandchildren, Tiffany Barber, Travis Barber, Mr. and Mrs. Singleton, Clarence Mathis, and Jacqueline Williams; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Clifford Williams and Charlie and Odell Williams; a sister, Christine Sumlin; a sister-in-law, Annie Mae Williams; nephews, Charlie Williams Jr., and Dennis Johnson; and nieces, Rosa Mae Stegall, Gloria Ann Williams, and Tommie Jean Edwards.
