Edith Jones Lowery, 82, Senoia, died Feb. 1, 2008. She was born Feb. 4, 1925 in Chambers County, Ala., to the late Herbert and Lilly Barber Jones. She was also preceded in death by brothers, James F. Jones, and Guy Jones, and a sister, Mildred Jones Saxon. She loved children and her many pursuits benefited them. She was a children's Sunday School teacher, a member of Senoia United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Senoia Library Board. Memorial services were at Senoia United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Danny Barton officiating.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Lowery, Senoia; children, Anthony and Sandra Lowery, Williamson, Cindy Minix, Locust Grove, the Rev. Stan and Leigh Ann Lowery, Mt. Washington, Ky., Arthur Lowery, Stockbridge, and Brenda and Howard Chapman, Birmingham, Ala.; twin sister, Edna and Robert Snelson, Marietta; a brother, Billy and Inez Jones, Marietta; a sister, Margaret Powell, Marietta; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
