Lewis Ronald Kuhns, 68, Newnan, died Jan. 19, 2008. He was born June 11,1939 in Williamsport, Pa., son of the late Harry K. and Violet Kramer Kuhns. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Moffett Kuhns, and a brother, Russell Kuhns. He served in the Army National Guard in his career as an engineer with the Federal Aviation Administration. He had served in several natural disasters as a reservist with FEMA. He was the owner of Jersey Mike's Subs in Newnan and Peachtree City, and was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church.

Memorial services were at Cornerstone United Methodist Church with the Rev.Joe Watson officiating. Survivors include children, Jill and Scott Prouty, Sharpsburg, Donald Lewis and Gabby Kuhns, and Thomas Allan Kuhns, all of Newnan; siblings, Marlene and John Wilton, Harriet and Tony Noviello, and Gregory Kuhns, all of Williamsport, Pa., and Joseph and Dianne Kuhns, Liberty, Pa.; and grandchildren, Michael Prouty and Liam Prouty, Sharpsburg. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville, Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.
