Ronald Stanford Fong

Major Ronald Stanford Fong, United States Army, retired, 58, Peachtree City, died Jan. 22, 2008. He was born Feb. 23, 1949 in Dallas, Texas. He was a graduate of Garland High School and Texas A&M University. He served in the United States Army for more than 20 years. He served during the Gulf War in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, and was aide-de-campe to Lt. General John J. Yeosock. He enjoyed sharing his gourmet cooking and gardening experiences with all. Services were at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sean Robinson officiating. Interment was at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Ga.

Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Keeley Fong, whom he married in Garland Texas, Sept. 5, 1969; parents, Stan and Ellen Fong; sisters, Louise Sharp, Debbie Hopson, and Judy West; and grandchildren, Ashley Montgomery, Kyle Montgomery, Tyler Robinson, Katie Robinson, and Kason Brack. Memorial donations may be made to the Army Emergency Relief Fund, attn: Donations, 200 Stovall St., Room 5-N-13, Alexandria, VA 22332-0600. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
