Carolyn Gay Gary, 77, Fayetteville, died Jan. 23, 2008 after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Homer O. and Thelma Scott Gay, Spalding County. She was both a homemaker as well as working closely with her husband in his business enterprises and political career. Services were at the Riverdale United Methodist Church with interment at the church cemetery. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Arch T. Gary, Fayetteville; a son, Ross H. Gary, Atlanta; grandchildren, Laura E. Gary, Nashville, Tenn., and Scott C. Gary, Decatur; and a brother, Homer Scott Gay, Tiger, Ga.
