Fayette voters hoping to avoid long lines on election day next Tuesday have a chance through this Friday to vote early in the presidential preference primary at any one of three locations in Fayette County.

Polls will be open to all county registered voters from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the county’s board of elections office in downtown Fayetteville; at the lower level of the Peachtree City Library; and now at the new library in Tyrone located on Commerce Drive next to the Roger Spencer Community Center.

The Tyrone early voting location has just been added this year.

Voters are reminded they will need to provide a photo identification or other accepted identification document before they will be allowed to cast a ballot.

Voters from any Fayette precinct may vote at any one of the three early voting locations, according to elections official Tom Sawyer.

There will be no early voting on Monday and polls on election day Feb. 5 will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
