High school age golfers from around metro Atlanta and north Georgia will have an opportunity to meet and learn from some of the state’s top college golf coaches and administrators during the 14th Annual College Day presented by Atlanta Junior Golf, this Saturday, February 2 at Druid Hills Golf Club, beginning at 9 a.m. College Day presented by Atlanta Junior Golf will feature some of the most knowledgeable golf coaches and administrators from area NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA programs gathered in a panel-style forum, discussing the necessary steps teenagers interested in playing intercollegiate golf will need to know in order to advance their careers beyond the junior golf ranks. This year’s guest speakers will be lead by University of Georgia Women’s Head Coach Kelly Hester, Georgia State University Women’s Head Coach Cathy Mant and Oglethorpe University Men’s & Women’s Head Coach Jim Owen. They, along with additional guest speakers, will cover various topics, including recruiting, building a resume and playing video, as well as playing competitively at the intercollegiate level. Registration is $25 per person and is open to both Atlanta Junior Golf members and non-members alike. Both parents and teens are encouraged to attend. For more information or to register, please contact the Atlanta Junior Golf Association at 770-850-9040, or log on to www.atlantajuniorgolf.org. login to post comments |
