PTC honors great builders

The Peachtree City Building Department recently announced its annual builders awards winners for 2007.

Ravin Homes won the best industrial site award for the renovation of the Anderson 2000 building on Dividend Drive that now is home to Comcast. The project was redesigned inside and out.

Betterton Construction won the city’s job site safety award. The company built both fuel centers at the Kedron and Braelinn Kroger grocery stores.

New South Construction was honored for having the best commercial site at the Kedron Office Park. New South Construction has worked in Peachtree City area for quite some time with projects including the Fasson Plant, Aberdeen Woods, Wesley Woods, Wyndham Conference Center, and Dogwood Church in Tyrone.

John Higgins of Piedmont Homes was named builder of the year. The company primarily builds in the luxury market and is building in Smokerise Plantation, Greenwood Oaks, Maple Shade in Peachtree City, and River Oaks in Tyrone.

Pete Waldrop of MAWAL Building Systems was named superintendent of the year. His last 2 commercial projects in Peachtree City were Metalforming, Inc. & Citadel Self Storage.
