Fayette County’s boys picked up another region win on Tuesday by defeating the Woodward Academy War Eagles 65-49. Noel Johnson led all scorers with 26 points and 11 rebounds, while Brandon Boykin chipped in 12 points, five rebounds and five steals and Darron Price and Cuincy Carruthers each added nine points.

Johnson reached a milestone against Woodward, scoring his 1,000th career point.

The Lady Tigers beat Woodward Academy 52-28. Game high points were from senior Kristene Walker with 16 points, sophomore Anma Onyeuku with 14 points, four steals and 10 rebounds, junior Tessah Holt with six points, four steals, and 11 assists and sophomore Sasha Sims with six points, one steal, one block and 10 rebounds.

Fayette County will play at Westlake on Friday.
