Close to 400 runners run in Frostbite 5KThu, 01/24/2008 - 10:35am
By: The Citizen
More than 380 runners took part in the Frostbite 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run on Jan. 12 at St. Paul Lutheran School in Peachtree City. With the help of generous sponsors, volunteers and runners, the event was a successful fund raiser for the school and a truly fun occasion for all. Racers came not only from the Atlanta area, but also from as far away as Colorado and New York. Race results for the 5K are posted on the website www.frostbite5k.org. Those wanting to learn more about what St. Paul Lutheran School has to offer are invited to their Open House from 2-4 p.m. on Sundays, Jan. 27 and Feb. 24, and can visit their website at www.stpaulptc.org and click on "School Site." More information on the races of the Rotary Elementary School Grand Prix Series can be found at the website of the Peachtree City Running Club, www.ptcrc.com. The next two races are at Kedron Elementary School (www.kedronknights.org) on Feb. 9 and at Cleveland Elementary School (www.clevelandelementary.org) on Feb. 16. login to post comments |
