Gary Paul Hendry, 64, Peachtree City, died Jan. 13, 2008. He was preceded in death by his father, William Paul Hendry. He was a 1966 graduate of Auburn University where he was a member of Theta Chi fraternity. He worked with General Electric for 18 years and retired from Georgia Power with 23 years of service. He was a member of the Peachtree City Kiwanis Club, the Coweta-Fayette Auburn Club , and was a reading tutor at Huddleston Elementary School. Memorial services were at Saint Andrew's-in-the-Pines Episcopal Church with the Rev. Paul C. Elliott officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Marie Hendry, Peachtree City; sons, Brian and Tina Hendry, Tyrone, and Chris and Mary Hendry, Tucker; a daughter, René and Jeremy Scott Cline, Acworth; seven grandchildren; mother, Marie Hendry, Decatur, Ala.; and a brother, Don and Cheryl Hendry, Tampa, Fla. Memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 672648, Marietta, GA 30006 or the Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City, P. O. Box 2043, Peachtree City, GA 30269. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
