Local DeMolay sees growthWed, 01/23/2008 - 10:43am
By: The Citizen
Peachtree City Chapter Order of DeMolay continues its slow and steady growth with the initiation of two new members. DeMolay, an international organization for young men age 12 (and completed the 7th grade) to 21, utilizes local chapters as a “laboratory” setting for members to learn leadership skills, public speaking, time management and financial management. In addition to these skills DeMolay offers an expansive social and athletic program. DeMolay chapters also work to become community assets through programs of community service. Each year, thousands of community service projects are undertaken by DeMolay chapters throughout the world. Sponsored by East Point Lodge #288, the chapter meets on Monday nights at the Peachtree City Masonic Center. Interested persons may learn more about DeMolay and Peachtree City Chapter by visiting their website or contacting chapter advisor Skip Mason at 770-855-4995. login to post comments |
