The suspect in a Thursday afternoon shooting at a home in south Fayette was arrested the next day in Henry County, police said.

Jeff Bell was arrested at a Mexican restaurant Friday afternoon in Henry County by the Henry County and McDonough police departments, said Lt. Belinda McCastle of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

Bell is accused of shooting the victim at a home at 1210 Old Greenville Road just after noon Thursday, deputies said. The shooting was preceded by an argument between the shooter and the victim, deputies said.

Bell is charged with aggravated assault and is being held in the Fayette County Jail without bond.
