Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Jones of Peachtree City announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Lauren Rene Jones, to David John Alonso, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Alonso of Peachtree City.

The future bride is a 2000 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School, and a 2004 graduate of The University of Georgia, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science. She also is a 2007 graduate of Georgia State University, where she earned a master of physical therapy. She currently is employed by Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colo.

The future groom is a 1994 graduate of McIntosh High School and a 1999 graduate of The Georgia Institute of Technology, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in management science. He also is a 2003 graduate of The University of Florida, where he earned a master of business administration. He currently is employed by Siemens Power Generation in Denver, Colo.

The wedding will be Saturday, April 19, 2008. Following a honeymoon in Maui, the couple will reside in Denver.
